How do I wash my costume wig?Answered By Carrie Higginson, Editor - Using a wig brush, carefully brush your costume wig. - Fill sink with cold water. Add 1 tablespoon of wig shampoo. - Submerge wig for 1 minute and massage it gently. Be sure not to rub it. - Then rinse it in cold water thoroughly. - Pat the wig softly with a towel. Do not press or wring. - Lightly spray with wig conditioner. It should be sprayed 10-12 inches from the wig. - Air-dry your wig on a slim object. You may use a can of hairspray and cover it with hand towel. Do not use Styrofoam heads because it may stretch the cap. - Remember to air dry only your wig. Do not use hair dryer and do not dry it in direct sunlight. - Brush wig when it is completely dry. You must remember, there are products that are specially designed for wigs. Never use a shampoo or any product intended for human hair. keywords: Costume | Costumes | Dress Up | Halloween | Wig | Costume Wig | Wigs
